Your story could help millions of people

Despite overwhelming public support, death with dignity laws exist in just ten jurisdictions around the country. To expand access to the law, and give millions of Americans the right to make their own end of life decisions, we have to help people understand how the law works and why it matters.

Share your experience and what you learned by caring for a loved one at the end of life. What does death with dignity mean to you?

The best way to shift attitudes and correct misconceptions about death with dignity is to share stories of real experiences. Personal stories help people understand the importance of death with dignity legislation, and they’re the best way to fight back against misinformation spread by opponents of the law. They’re also a reminder to those who haven’t had direct experience making decisions at end-of-life that these laws — and the freedom of choice they represent — are important for everyone.
