Global Fellows in End-of-Life Care

The Global Fellows in End-of-Life Care project re-imagines one of our most transformative human experiences, our dying. Co-founded by Death with Dignity and the Completed Life Initiative, this Fellows program seeks to positively impact how we live our lives and how we die.

In this year-long program, a cohort of 7 Fellows will create and complete projects that re-imagine and further the global conversation of end-of-life care. Applications for the 2024 Fellows project opened August 23rd and closed September 27, 2024.

The Fellows program begins January 2025 with monthly virtual gatherings led by Death with Dignity and the Completed Life Initiative, plus guest experts in end-of-life care. In Fall 2025, Fellows will gather in Toronto for an in-person retreat to present and celebrate projects.

With an interdisciplinary approach, the program welcomes applicants across a wide range of fields, including healthcare, medical and ethics research, law, activism, philosophy, and the arts. We’re excited to bring these talented minds together, connecting our global communities on end-of-life care.
