Oregon legislators need to hear from you!
Last week, lawmakers introduced an amendment to the state’s Death with Dignity law—SB1003—and it’s already in the hands of the Senate Judiciary Committee. As a resident of Oregon, now is the time for you to speak out and build support by telling committee members that SB1003 must receive a public hearing!
This has the potential to be a huge milestone for Death with Dignity advocates! SB1003 would amend the law to include physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners, and reduces the waiting period from 15 days to 48 hours. No one should have to suffer while waiting for the compassionate care they’ve chosen, and this amendment aims to support that!
Take two minutes and write to the Oregon Senate Judiciary Committee members and request they help terminally ill patients by giving SB1003 a public hearing.
Just add your name and address, revise the pre-written message if you want by scrolling down, and your letter will be sent to the committee members.
