Bill Fails to Advance, Companion Bill Carries Over to 2026

Current status: HB598, received a public hearing in the House Population Health Subcommittee. This is the first time the bill has ever received a public hearing. The bill fails to advance after a 2-8 opposed vote.

SB640 is introduced and passed on second consideration. The bill is referred to the Senate Judiciary Committee.

What’s Next?: SB640 carries over to 2026.
