What is Planned Giving?
Just as everyone, regardless of their personal wealth, should make a plan for their will and estate, everyone has the potential to leave a legacy through planned giving. The Dignity Circle exists to help you explore planned giving options and to honor those who include Death with Dignity in their will or estate plan.
Planned giving, or legacy giving, refers to making a charitable bequest through your will or estate plan. It can be as simple as naming Death with Dignity in your will or trust. A planned gift also offers certain tax advantages — the opportunity to increase spendable income, the elimination or reduction of capital gain taxes, and possibly federal and state estate tax savings.
Dignity Circle members include some of our closest allies and fiercest advocates. You do not have to reach out to us in order to plan a gift to Death with Dignity, but we encourage it. We can help you explore ways to leave a legacy and decide on a path that meets your priorities and honors your values. And your legacy gift can serve as an example to others.
